Interim cover placed on Questa tailings facility, New Mexico. The alluvial cover consists of 9-12 inches of local alluvial soils and was placed in the mid-late 1970's to control dusting. Seeding and natural invasion has resulted in the development of a grass/shrub vegetation typical for this semi-arid area.
