 Search by author
You can search by the author of a paper by typing the author's last name into
the search box and checking the author box or the keyword box.
 Search by title
You can search by the title of a paper by typing part of the title into the
search box and checking the title box or the keyword box. It is not necessary to
type the complete title or the beginning of the title, usually one or two words
of a title suffice.
 Search by keyword
You can search by typing one or more keywords into the search box and
checking the keyword box.
- If "any word" is checked, a large number of records will be found (all
records that have either underground or mining)
- If "all words" is checked, the number of records will be smaller (all
records that have both underground and mining)
- If "exact phrase" is checked, the number of records will be smaller still
(records, that have underground mining in this exact order)
 Too many results?
When your search turns up a long list of titles, try to narrow the results
down by doing the following:
- Check "all words" or "exact phrase" and click on "search" again.
- Type in two or more search terms
- Use descriptive search terms ("mining" will generate a long list, "open
pit" is more descriptive and the results will be more focused.)
- Choose a shorter publication date range
 Too few results?
When your search has no or too few results, try the following:
- Enter fewer search terms
- Check "any words"
- Check "keyword"
Link to a paper is not working
We try to keep the links up-to-date, but if you notice that clicking on a
paper's title opens to a "page not found" error, please contact Toni Wallis. If you have problems
opening a pdf-document, refer below.
 How do I open a pdf-file?
In the majority of cases, the technical papers are in Adobe pdf-format which
requires the freely available Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them. For download
information, please click
