- Project Description:
- The Tintaya mine is located in southern Peru about equidistant from Cusco and Arequipa.
Operations include open pit mining, milling and concentrating of copper ore. The mine has been
in operation since the late 1980's.
Services include site reconnaissance, assessment of ARD
and metal leaching potential, mineralogical characterization and control/remediation strategies
for current and future mining and processing. Recent work includes a review of the selected dam
type including the tailings slurry pipeline system, the geotechnical site conditions, and dam
design.
